Car Owners asked to be vigilant at home

STOLEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

Car owners, particularly owners of higher powered vehicles, are urged to be vigilant following from a UK appeal for car thieves caught on camera in this youtube video.

Masked Man Breaking Into Car With Crowbar

The video depicts CCTV footage from two different vantage points outside the family-home of a Audi S3 owner. The video shows a small family car (perhaps a Vauxhall Corsa) park in front of the house. One of the car thieves gets out of the car and approaches the house wearing gloves. He beckons to an accomplice to approach when he finds the front door unlatched. A third accomplice drives away in the getaway car while the other two enter the house, threaten the family with a crowbar before leaving with the keys to the S3. The householders quickly lock the door behind the pair but it is too late and the damage has already been done. Please watch this video and make it a habit to always lock the front door of your house, and, preferably, turn on the house alarm even when you are relaxing during the day at home.

Many modern cars, particularly premium brand vehicles, cannot be stolen without the keys. This makes it more important than ever to secure both the keys to the car and your house when you are at home.
